This was a fun segment! Company holiday parties are always tricky! You want to have fun and be comfortable and at the same time be professional.  Yesterday, I stopped by WNCN's My Carolina Today to share tips on what to wear and what not to wear. In the segment I shared 4 looks for various company parties.  Here are the details!

Alvin is dressed in Black Tie Creative
BLACK TIE CREATIVE: BE MODERN IN YOUR TUX OR SUIT SELECTION- KEEP IT BLACK OR NAVY. TRENDY.
THE LOOK: Black two-buttoned three piece wool suit with a paisley tie , shirt and sock from Ticknor's at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC.
DO: Keep the foundation of the formal wear classic black or either navy blue.  You can opt for a no trendy tuxedo in that color with details like leather, suede, top stitching etc.  The shirt, tie, handkerchief and socks can be as creative as you would like!
DON'T: Wear a colored suit or tuxedo.

Brittany's invitation asked her to dress FESTIVE.
FESTIVE ATTIRE: ATTIRE THAT IS NOT SO CASUAL- OPEN FOR INTERPRETATION. CONSIDER WHERE THE EVENT IS BEING HELD. THINK-- TOO DRESSY FOR WORK!
THE LOOK from BELK at CRABTREE VALLEY MALL: Jessica Simpson faux fur caplet $98.00; TAYLOR shantung, mesh and sequin holiday party dress with bow belt and pockets for $138.00; Bandolino Bflexible shoes and designer patterned tights. ACCESSORIES from: Imago Dei Boutique. Red Crystals Clusters Clutch and ruby red earrings.
DO: Choose something a little more opulent that you would wear to work like velvet, suede, sequins or a white tuxedo jacket.
DON'T: Go overboard! this is a fun dress code that an dangerous territory. Don't add too many festive trends in one look for example too much bling, sequins and beading is a faux pas.
