This week's this or that is for my around the way girls who like a good pair of sneakers but look stylish while doing it! Warm up in this stylish quilted jacket by TWO from Vince Camuto. Throw it over a ultra casual tshirt or tank top for a fashion forward look.
I love a good sneaker, especially when I have been wearing heels for most of the week. One thing I will not do is sacrifice fashion for comfort! Adding a cute leather jacket to a casual look is a great alternative to a zip up hoodie or sweats.
The first look features a pair of white, red and cement grey Jordan Son of Mars Low sneakers with a pair of red skinny jeans and high-low embellished tank. If you are going to wear an athletic shoe such as a Jordan, I suggest making sure all the other elements are girly to avoid looking like a tomboy. Keep the jeans skinny and form-fitting and make sure you have a cute top that is comfortable and stylish. A cross-body purse is a little more casual than a top handled handbag. Wear your hair in a top knot with gloss.
The next look features a harem pant. Some women are a little leery of the the harem pant, as they should be. The harem pant is not for everyone ( us short girls need to opt for the slim leg version). UN-affectionately known as the diaper pant. No one wants to look like they are wearing diapers. Here are a few tips to avoid looking sloppy in a Harem pant- 1) For a casual look like below choose a pant that are cropped just below the knee. 2) Keep the top form fitting like the form fitting tee below. This will counter act the baggy bottom and you won't look sloppy 3) Wear heels or in this case a wedged sneaker heel to lengthen you leg. This is a a fashion-chic alternative to a sweat pant or ill-fitting leggings.
