Saturday Beauty Day: Skin Care Series-Combination Skin

February 21 2014 – April Clark

Skin care is so important in maintaining the proper skin hygiene.  As I research ingredients for my skin care line, I wanted to share tips with my readers on the various skin types and proper care.  This will be a 5 week series on the 5 different skin types and the proper care.  To find out what type of skin type you have get my FREE eBook and to see the post for oilydry,  sensitive skin  and normal click the links.

Most women have the combination skin type.   Combination skin is a mixture of dry and oily patches.  Typically the cheeks and the area around the eyes are dry and the T zone ( forehead, nose and chin) are oily.  This skin type is tricky because different parts of the skin need different treatments!  You'll notice that combination skin has larger pores, and after washing the dry portions of the skin are extremely tight and the oily parts become greasy.  The best products to use antioxident rich products like very lightweight gels, lotions and serums.  Use a gentle cleanser that is water soluble or gel based.  Only use cream moisturizers on the dry portions of your face.  Here are a few products to try:
