It's almost here we're just days away from the most coveted event in fashion NEW YORK FASHION WEEK! This is when the world take notice at the epicenter of fashion in NEW YORK. Bloggers, reporters, fashion editors are all waiting to see what is in store for SS14. If you're not familiar with New York Fashion let me give you a brief history... New York Fashion Week now Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is held two time a year one in September showing the next year's spring/summer collections and in February showing next year's fall/winter collections.  MBFW is one of the four major fashion weeks held around the world.  In 2009, New York Fashion Week was changed to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Prior to that it was called PRESS WEEK in 1943 as a way to get American designers notoriety and press.  Mainly MBFW was developed because in the 40's many were not able to travel to Paris, France to see the shows because of WWII.  In 1994, Fashion Week was held in the famed, New York landmark, Bryant Park and was a series of large white tents that were a block long.  In 2010 MBFW was moved to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
MBFW has never been open to the public. It's history has always been for press to report on American fashion designers. Now with technology we can ALL be apart of MBFW. Here are a few sites that will be going "live from the runway"
New York Fashion Week is your one-stop fashion week resource, with live streams from the Big 4, private runway shows, interviews with celebrities, designers, stylists and models, plus shopping during fashion week.
