I love statement necklaces, I was happy to see the new collections from HerHabit Accessories. Aliyah Dukes, owner and founder of HerHabit Accessories is rebranding her accessories company to include indugent necklaces, catering to four different types of women with four different accessory styles. Which one are you?

Aliyah was kind enough to give me an interview about her company.
Q:Tell me a little bit about how you got started.
A: HerHabit Accessories began in Aug 2012 in Raleigh,NC by Aliyah Dukes & Samone Cowan. We started our marketing strategy much like Mary Kay by doing in house demonstrations which was called "Ladies Night In". In 2013 HerHabit Accessories had its launch party and released it's website www.herhabit.bigcartel.com Since then, HerHabit Accessories has been featured in music videos and 3 fashion shows including Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC. In 2014, Samone Cowan began her own personal shopping business while I moved to NYC to expand and rebrand HerHabit Accessories thus creating collections to support the "Habits" of all women.
Q: Where did you come up with the name HerHabit?
I have always had a thing for accessories and I know people always say that shopping is a bad habit that a lot of woman have, myself included. So when it came time to come up with a name for the business, HER HABIT came about.
Q: What is the price point that women can expect when coming to you for their "habit"
A: HHA were made to be affordable for everyone. Prices range from as low $8, but everything is $100 or less.
Q: The idea of segmenting your pieces into collections for women to FIND her personality is genius; what is your best selling collection?
A: Our best selling collection right now is Feminine Curves, it has more of our colorful pieces and summer ready!
Q: With such a unique appeal to helping women FIND their personal accessory style, do you offer personal shopping for special occasions?
A:yes, we do personal shopping for special occasions such as weddings or clients who are looking for specifics. we have also done collections for fashion designers such as Briana Dione for fashion week in NYC.
Q:How frequent do you get new merchandise?
A:We get shipments about every other week
Q: What celebrity would you like to see in your collection?
Wow, it's so many to name, but because each collection is different and represents a different girl, I will name 1 celebrity for each look.

Q: What do you love about accessories
A:They are timeless. Also they complete any look. I can have on a plain white t-shirt and add one of my statement piece necklaces, and i'm ready to go! Also I like to be different and I like unique chunky accessories. That is why we only purchase a small amount of each item so that everyone who wears our pieces can stand out from the rest!
Q:What advice do you have for women when it comes to accessories?
A:Chunky necklaces are IN! go big or go home! lol don't be afraid to try something different and that stands out. watch how many complements you will get!
When picking accessories, have fun with it and don's get so caught up in the norm. Let your outfit be centered around your accessories!
Q:Any plans on expanding HerHabit?
A:We are actually working on doing more than just jewelry and incorporating bags this summer! I am super excited for that!
But the goal is to open up shop in all major cities such as NY, Philadelphia, Miami, and California so that our customers will have access to everything in person.
Also, something that is very important to us is giving back. We want to open a foundation for girls, where we can raise money through fashion for collage scholarships and help in the communities.
